ABOUT IVET
Ivet is a photography-focused visual artist. Born in Slovakia, she is currently living and working in the coastal town of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Ivet started her photography journey as a black & white film photographer. She spent endless hours in the darkroom where her simple curiosity developed into a passion. Over time, she incorporated additional techniques into her process.
Ivet explores the complexities of emotional states through nature, the female essence and abstract forms. The images go through time and transformation. Her process involves a layering of concepts and intuition which makes her observant to the tension between creative control and natural instinct. Many of her images tell the stories of women and birds. The wildness and passion of their spirits create balance, light & shadows - it’s like black & white photography. For Ivet, nature has been one of the most significant sources of energy and inspiration. She is a strong believer that nature has the power to heal one’s soul.
