The series Aquatica was inspired by the pure, simple act of being submerged in the water on a hot summer day. I was thinking about everything water represents for me - it is calming, healing, cleansing, inspiring, sensual. Water is life. How many important decisions were made while soaking in the water. How many revelations were unveiled. How much laughter was echoed through her. How many tears where dropped into the depths of the ocean. I remember how essential the ocean was for me starting out as a young photographer. It was an important source of inspiration and sanctuary. And still is.
